The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
