(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
