Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 "which guides to the Right Way; so we have come to believe in it, and we will not associate aught with Our Lord in His Divinity”; 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 So they began to think, even as you do, that God would not resurrect any one. 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path. 10 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the call to guidance, we believed in it. He who believes in his Lord has no fear of loss or of injustice. 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 ‘In order to test them with it; and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put him in a punishment that keeps on increasing.’ 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass." 19

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
