He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 exalted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 and angelic scribes. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
