The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
