T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
