Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
