There is much evidence (of the existence of God) in the heavens and the earth which they see, but ignore. 105 And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him. 106 Do they remain complacent over Allah’s punishment coming and surrounding them, or the Last Day coming suddenly upon them whilst they are unaware? 107 Say: "My way, and that of my followers, is to call you to God with full perception. All glory to God, I am not an idolater." 108 We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? - 109 [All the earlier apostles had to suffer persecution for a long time] but at last - when those apostles had lost all hope and saw themselves branded as liars - Our succour attained to them: whereupon everyone whom We willed [to be saved] was saved [and the deniers of the truth were destroyed]: for, never can Our punishment be averted from people who are lost in sin. 110 In their stories is surely a lesson to men possessed of minds; it is not a tale forged, but a confirmation of what is before it, and a distinguishing of every thing, and a guidance, and a mercy to a people who believe. 111
