3/4 Hizb 37
< random >
۞ And We revealed to Musa, saying: Go away with My servants travelling by night, surely you will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And indeed your Lord only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
