He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead). 15 Can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up when, lo and behold, it begins to quake? 16 Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not loose against you a squall of pebbles then you shall know how was My warning. 17 And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach. 18 Do they not see the birds above them spreading and closing their wings? None save the Merciful sustains them. Surely, He observes all things. 19 Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception. 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 What, is he who walks, falling upon his face, more guided than he who walks upright on a Straight Path! 22 (Muhammad), say, "It is God who has brought you into being and made ears, eyes, and hearts for you, but you give very little thanks". 23 Say: "It is He who dispersed you all over the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." 24 But they [only] ask, "When is this promise to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 25 Say, "God knows best. I am only one who gives warning". 26 But when they see it drawing near, the faces of those who deny the truth will turn gloomy and they will be told, "This is what you were calling for." 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Say: 'He is the Merciful. In Him we believe and in Him we put all our trust. Indeed, you shall soon know who is in clear error' 29 Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water? 30
