The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
