The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
