The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
