۞ And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 and drowned the other party. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
