Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
