Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha, Meem. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 who do not pay zakat and have no faith in the life to come. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
