Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
