1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 In gardens of delight, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
