Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
