For, behold, it is the God-conscious [alone] whom gardens of bliss await with their Sustainer: 34 What, shall We make those who are submissive like the wrongdoers? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Is there with you a Book wherein ye study: 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or have you oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection? Surely you shall have whatever you judge! 39 Ask them: "Which of you is able to vouch for this?" 40 Or have they "partners"? Then let them bring their "partners" if they are truthful! 41 Remember the Day whereon the shank shall be bared and they shall be called upon to Prostrate themselves, but they shall not be able. 42 Their eyes will be lowered and disgrace will cover them. They had certainly been told to prostrate themselves before God when they were safe and sound. 43 So leave to Me those who reject this message. We shall lead them step by step to their ruin, in ways beyond their ken. 44 I am giving them a respite. Great is My scheme! 45 Or dost thou (Muhammad) ask a fee from them so that they are heavily taxed? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 Had it not been for a favour from his Lord he would have been cast blame-worthy on a barren plain. 49 But his Lord chose him for His own and made him one of the righteous. 50 When those who deny the truth hear the admonition, they would almost cause you to stumble with their evil eyes; and they say, "He is certainly mad." 51 While it is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 52
