Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
