Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
