Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 labouring, weary, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a high Garden. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 In which are high thrones. 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions ranged 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
