Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie? 1 Who turns away the orphan, 2 And does not urge (others) to feed the poor. 3 So woe to the praying ones, 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
