Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
