Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
