Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 labouring, weary, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
