The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
