O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the rumour mongers in Medinah do not desist, We shall then surely impel you against them, so then they will not remain your neighbours in Medinah except for a few days. 60 cursed they shalt be, and wheresoever they are come upon they shall be seized and slaughtered all -- 61 The tradition of Allah prevalent among those who passed away before; and you will never find the traditions of Allah changing. 62 People ask you concerning the Hour. Say," Knowledge of it is only with Allah. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near." 63 Allah has indeed cursed the disbelievers, and has kept prepared for them a blazing fire. 64 There they will live forever, and they will find therein neither friend nor helper. 65 On that Day when their faces shall be turned around in the Fire, they will say: “Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger.” 66 And they will say, “Our Lord! We followed our chiefs and our elders – so they misled us from the path!” 67 O Lord, give them a double punishment, and put a grievous curse upon them." 68
