The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Alif Lam Mim 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 who believe in the Book We have sent down to you (i.e. the Qur'an) and in the Books sent down before you, and firmly believe in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [which comes from their Sustainer]; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
