Al-Anbyaa' 5 of 7
۞ And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing 51 Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" 52 They answered: "We found our forefathers worshipping them." 53 He said: Certainly you have been, (both) you and your fathers, in manifest error. 54 They said: "Are you expressing your true ideas before us or are you jesting?" 55 Abraham replied, "Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who created them, and I bear witness to that. 56 And, by Allah, I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs. 57 So he broke them into fragments, all but a great one they had, for haply they would return to it. 58 They said: Who has done this to our gods? Most surely he is one of the unjust. 59 Some among them said, “We heard a youth speak ill of them – the one called Ibrahim.” 60 They said, 'Bring him before the people's eyes; haply they shall bear witness.' 61 "Did you do this to our gods, O Abraham?" they enquired. 62 "No," he said. "It was done by that chief of theirs. Ask him in case they can speak." 63 So they turned to themselves and said: "Verily, you are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." 64 Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said): "Indeed you [Ibrahim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!" 65 (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? 66 Fie upon you and that you serve apart from God! Do you not understand?' 67 They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. 68 We said, “O fire, become cool and peaceful upon Ibrahim.” 69 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the worse losers, 70 But We delivered him and (his nephew) Lut (and directed them) to the land which We have blessed for the nations. 71 And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in superfluity, and every one made We righteous 72 And We made them leaders, guiding by Our command; and We revealed unto them the doing of good deeds and the establishment of prayer, and the giving of poor-rate; and of Us they were the worshippers. 73 And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient. 74 We admitted him to Our mercy; he was a righteous man. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
