The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
