Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
