Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
