The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
