Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
