3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
