We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
