The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of (mount) Tur. 1 And by the Book Inscribed. 2 On an open record. 3 And by oath of the Inhabited House. 4 and by the lofty vault of the sky, 5 and the sea that is full 6 the torment of your Lord will inevitably take place 7 There is none that can ward it off. 8 On the day when the heavens will swiftly fly 9 And the mountains will fly hither and thither. 10 Will be the day of woe for those 11 Those who sport entering into vain discourses. 12 A day when they will be pushed, forcibly shoved towards the fire of hell. 13 This is the fire which you used to deny. 14 Is it magic, or you cannot see? 15 Taste you therein its heat, and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being requited for what you used to do. 16 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss 17 Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire. 18 (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do, 19 Reclining on thrones, in rows; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 20 And those who accepted faith, and whose descendants followed them with faith We have joined their descendants with them, and have not reduced anything for them from their deeds; every soul is trapped in its own deeds. 21 We shall give them fruits and meat as they desire. 22 In it, they accept cups from each other, in which is neither any lewdness nor any sin. 23 ۞ and youths, of their own, shall pass among them as if they were hidden pearls. 24 They will go to one another asking each other questions: 25 They will say: “When we were living before among our kinsfolk we lived in constant fear (of Allah's displeasure). 26 But Allah has been gracious to us and He has saved us from the punishment of the hot wind: 27 we were before ever calling upon Him; surely He is the All-benign, the All-compassionate.' 28

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
