We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
