Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- 2 Who hath created seven heavens in storeys. Thou shalt not behold in the Compassionate's creation any over-sight; then repeat thy look, beholdest thou any crack? 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord will be the torment of Hell; and a hapless destination! 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 And they will add: "Had we but listened [to those warnings,] or [at least] used our own reason, we would not [now] be among those who are destined for the blazing flame!" 10 So will they confess their guilt. Deprived (of all joys) will be the inmates of Hell. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 And whether you speak softly or proclaim it aloud; He indeed knows what lies within the hearts! 13 Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? 14
