Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 Those are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are guided by their Lord and will surely prosper. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 When Our verses are recited to such a person, he arrogantly turns away, as though he had not heard them, or as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce to him the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship), besides Him have created. Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and those who do not believe in the Oneness of Allah) are in plain error. 11
