Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
