So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error. 22 Allah has revealed the best teaching, a self-consistent Book which repeats its contents in manifold forms whereat shiver the skins of those that hold their Lord in awe, and then their skins and their hearts soften for Allah's remembrance. That is Allah's Guidance wherewith He guides whosoever He pleases. And he whom Allah does not guide to the Right Path has none to guide him. 23 Is, then, one who has to fear the brunt of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment (and receive it) on his face, (like one guarded therefrom)? It will be said to the wrong-doers: "Taste ye (the fruits of) what ye earned!" 24 Those before them belied, wherefore the torment came on them whence they knew not. 25 God gave them a taste of humiliation in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew it. 26 And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example - that they might remember. 27 This Quran is a flawless reading text in the Arabic language. Perhaps they will have fear of God. 28 [To this end,] God sets forth a parable: A man who has for his masters several partners, [all of them] at variance with one another, and a man depending wholly on one person: can these two be deemed equal as regards their condition? [Nay,] all praise is due to God [alone]: but most of them do not understand this. 29 You are mortal, and they are mortal 30 Then you will dispute before your Lord on the Day of Resurrection. 31
