Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
