Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
