And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
