The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then he mustered 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
