Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
