Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, surely, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Shayatin (devils) (with them), then We shall bring them round Hell on their knees. 68 Then We will most certainly draw forth from every sect of them him who is most exorbitantly rebellious against the Beneficent Allah. 69 And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein. 70 And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. (Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell – on a thin bridge.) 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who were more imposing in respect of gear and outward seeming! 74 (Muhammad), tell them, "The Beneficent God gives respite to those who have gone astray only until they face the torment with which they were threatened or to the Day of Judgment. Then they will find out who will have the most miserable place and the weakest forces. 75 Allah will increase those who were guided in guidance and things that abide. Good deeds are better in reward with your Lord, and, better in return. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he the knowledge of the unseen or has the Beneficent God established such a binding agreement with Him? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. 82
